Trama: Tutto è iniziato con una misteriosa nota blu cucita in un abito da sposa. Qualcosa di blu. Ero andata a vendere il mio abito da sposa mai indossato in un negozio di abbigliamento vintage. In quel momento ho trovato "qualcosa di vecchio" appartenuto ad un'altra sposa.

Cucito nella fodera di un favoloso modello piumato c'era il messaggio più bello che avessi mai letto: Grazie per aver reso tutti i miei sogni realtà.

Impresso sulla carta da lettere blu c'era il nome dell'autore della nota: Reed Eastwood, di certo l'uomo più romantico sulla faccia della terra. Che ho anche scoperto essere il più bello. Se solo le mie fantasie sul vero amore si fossero fermate lì! Perché da quel momento ho scoperto anche qualcos'altro su Mr. Inguaribile Romantico.

È arrogante, cinico ed esigente. Dovevo immaginarlo. Per uno scherzo del destino, è il mio nuovo capo. Ma questo non mi impedirà di scoprire la storia che c'è dietro la sua ultima lettera d'amore. Una lettera d'amore che non è finita con "e vissero per sempre felici e contenti". Ma quella storia non è nulla in confronto a quella che si sta svolgendo tra di noi. Sta diventando più caldo, più dolce e più sorprendente di qualsiasi cosa avrei potuto immaginare. Qualcosa di nuovo. Ma non ho idea di come questo finirà..

Mary's Review

I could sum up Hate Notes review in one sentence, but even if I would extend it in 1000 words, they would not be enough. What is certain, is that this is absolutely one of the most beautiful novels I have ever read. I would dare to say, THE most beautiful. Reed and Charlotte are the most impossible and appropriate together. A perfect match ... to make sparks! I loved every single aspect of their story: the way it is written, the intelligent and ironic characters, every single scene: I found it absolutely perfect. Passionate, romantic, funny like only a few other books I’ve read, and with a hint of madness. I could not find a single stereotype in the whole storytelling and that’s why I could read every page with the same approach and the same intensity.

Just thinking back to the note Reed leaves on Charlotte's desk, makes me laugh again like crazy!
What to say more? A story that we really hope to see soon on the big screen: it actually deserves to get this result. We hope that the Italian public too can enjoy the novel as soon as possible!

Potrei riassumere la mia recensione di Hate Notes in una sola frase, ma se anche mi dilungassi in 1000 parole, non basterebbero. Quello che è certo, è che è stato uno dei romanzi più belli che abbia mai letto. Oserei dire, IL più bello. Reed e Charlotte sono quanto di più impossibile e azzeccato insieme. Un abbinamento perfetto… per fare scintille! Ho adorato ogni singolo aspetto della storia: il modo in cui è scritta, i personaggi intelligenti e ironici, ogni singola scena… l’ho trovato assolutamente perfetto. Passionale, romantico, divertente come poche storie, e con un pizzico di follia! Non sono riuscita a trovare un solo stereotipo in tutto il racconto e per questo ne ho letto ogni pagina con lo stesso approccio e la stessa intensità.

Il solo ripensare alla nota che Reed lascia sulla scrivania di Charlotte, mi fa scoppiare a ridere di nuovo. Cosa dire di più? Una storia che siamo certi di vedere presto sul grande schermo e che merita di ottenere questo risultato. Speriamo che il pubblico italiano possa godere della storia quanto prima!
